Members Support the GCDS Foundation The GCDS Foundation idea was born in 1999; however, it was only just funded in 2009. Through our Foundation, we are looking toward a future dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of premium oral health and we feel a Foundation is the best way to fulfill this mission. Objectives will be accomplished through educational programs, resources, as well as other charitable works that will enhance the overall health care of our NE Ohio community. The GCDS Foundation plans to accomplish this by raising money and coordinating volunteers to create new educational opportunities, distribute goods and services, and by supporting the works of NE Ohio public outreach groups and charitable causes already in existence. It is with your generosity that the GCDS Foundation will flourish as an extension of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society’s strong values, principal belief in the importance of dentistry and the dental profession. Access to Care The Greater Cleveland Dental Foundation believes that every individual deserves to have access to oral health care. It is with this in mind that the GCDS Foundation will seek opportunities and support initiatives that will better educate our community and bring new opportunities for oral health care to the underserved population of northeast Ohio. The Foundation plans to grow an enhanced oral health care services network by supporting the works of public outreach groups and charitable causes already in existence, as well as creating new programs through the wonderful alliances offered through our generous members. Oral Health Education The Greater Cleveland Dental Society Foundation realizes the importance of promoting and providing the very best dental care to NE Ohio. This may only be achieved through exceptional training and education efforts. To continue our tradition of excellence, the GCDS Foundation, on behalf of GCDS members, will design programs that support efforts to better educate the public on the importance of good oral health and its effect on ones overall well being. Charitable Programs The Greater Cleveland Dental Society Foundation supports initiatives related to oral health care and education to NE Ohio. Through charitable donations, the GCDS Foundation will assist in sustaining current and future programs aimed at increasing oral health care resources, awareness and preventative care.
